Denne dramatisk beliggende vinmark ligger skåret ind i vildt udseende terrasser og plateauer ovenfor Erdener Prälat og er monopol-besiddelse for Dr. Hermann. De 127 år gamle stokke vokser her i blå skifer har her givet en legendarisk TBA Lange Goldkapsel! Høstet ved 220 Öchsle har denne fantastiske eliksir ca. 350 g restsukker koblet sindsoprivende syrerygrad.     98+ points Robert Parker Wine Advocate: "The radiant, yellow-golden 2019 Erdener Herzlei Riesling Trockenbeerenauslese Alte Reben (Long Gold Capsule) comes from five terraces of 120- to 130-year-old vines on blue and gray slate soils whose grapes were picked at 220° Oechsle. The bouquet is very concentrated and still reductive, displaying candied ginger and lemon zest as well as lemon liquor and grapefruit aromas. Highly concentrated and sweet but also incredibly delicate, finessed and elegant on the viscous yet fascinatingly piquant palate, this is a picture-book Herzlei TBA in a beautifully balanced and digestible style. Fresh orange flavors and remarkable acidity populate the contracting and salty finish along with a honeyed sweetness that is pretty high but never sticky. Fifty liters were bottled with 6.5% alcohol and 370 grams of unfermented sugar per liter balanced by 14 grams per liter of total acidity. Still a sweet and fat baby yet with great energy and spectacularly huge talents."

    98 points Mosel Fine Wines: "The 2019er Erdener Treppchen Riesling TBA lange GK was made from fully botrytized berries harvested at 220° Oechsle from extremely old ungraftedvines in this prime sector of the Treppchen, and was fermented down to fully noble-sweet levels of residual sugar (340 g/l). It proves almost overly ripe yet deeply complex and attractive thanks to notes of toffee, acacia honey, plum, dried apricot, mango, candied orange zest, raisin, and tar, all wrapped into a whiff of volatile. The wine is hugely concentrated and oily on the palate, but this syrupy and rich feeling is well wrapped intointense candied and zesty fruits. It leaves a hugely vibrating and pure finish, which is mighty and energetic. This magnificently luscious and noblesweetTBA only needs a solid two decades to fully shine."
