The Wine Advocate:
"Proprietor Piero Palmucci is not only making some of the most brilliant wines in Montalcino, he is now inspiring a whole new generation of young growers with his non-interventionalist philosophy to viticulture and traditional approach to winemaking. A visit to these small cellars is always fascinating, particularly spending some time tasting through barrel samples cask by cask. This is a stunning set of wines readers will not want to miss. The 2005 Brunello di Montalcino may very well end up being the wine of the vintage, while the Rossos reach a level matched by very few other wines."

97 poins 2004 Brunello di Montalcino Riserva (Bedst bedømte Riserva)
"The 2004 Brunello di Montalcino Riserva is a stunning wine that captures every bit of the potential I sensed when I first tasted it from barrel a few years ago. Freshly cut roses, red berries, minerals, and mint are just some of the nuances that emerge from this layered, sensual wine. In 2004 most Riservas tend towards the dark end of the spectrum but Poggio di Sotto’s Riserva is decidedly fresh and bright. The wine’s purity, depth, detail, and finesse are utterly remarkable. Once again, a comparison with Bruno Giacosa’s Barbaresco from the Asili vineyard seems appropriate. This is a hypnotizing, totally transcendental Brunello readers won’t want to miss. In fact, it is so profound, it is a shame to spit! "

95 points 2005 Brunello di Montalcino (Bedst bedømte 2005er)
"The 2005 Brunello di Montalcino is awesome. Dark fruit, minerals, spices and a host of balsamic notes emerge from this powerful, textured Brunello. Poggio di Sotto’s 2005 is one of the most muscular, concentrated wines of the vintage. The intensity of the fruit beautifully balances the tannins on the finish, where mint and flowers frame the close. This is a seductive, mysterious Brunello that provides endless fascination and discovery. "

95 points 2004 Brunello di Montalcino
"The 2004 Brunello di Montalcino is just as beautiful in bottle as it was in cask. This is a supremely layered, exquisite Brunello that flows onto the palate with tons of grace and class. Medium in body, the wine reveals gorgeous inner perfume framed by ripe, silky tannins that caress the fruit all the way to the close. The wine gains freshness and volume in the glass, exhibiting supreme beauty. Sweet scents of roses linger on the long, refined finish. Simply put, this is sublime juice."

92+ points 2006 Rosso di Montalcino (Bedste bedømte Rosso)
"The 2006 Rosso di Montalcino is a touch darker and firmer than the 2007. Fresh violets, tar, cherries and licorice flow from this rich, textured Rosso. The wine reveals gorgeous intensity in the estate’s hallmark style, which favors a weightless expression of fruit typical of Nebbiolo and Pinot Noir. With air, the bouquet literally jumps right out of the glass, showing incredible definition. A long, yet firm finish rounds things out in style. Poggio di Sotto’s 2006 Rosso is without question one of the finest Rossos to emerge from Montalcino in many a year. It is a jewel of a wine with plenty of upside potential."

Casanova di Neri, 2004 Brunello di Montalcino "Tenute Nuova"
#3 Salvioni, Brunello di Montalcino 2004
Om Poggio di Sotto 2004 Brunello: "Intensives, leuchtendes Rubingranat. Sehr schöne, vielschichtige Nase, spielt mit Noten nach reifen Zwetschken, etwas Kirschmarmelade, Siegellack, im Hintergrund ein Hauch Zimt. Am Gaumen ausgewogen und klar, öffnet sich mit satten, reifen Fruchtnoten, unterlegt mit viel feinkörnigem Tannin, geschmeidig, sehr langer Nachhall. "
